Précision_sur la representation :	Scène succédant à la découverte par Marie Madeleine du tombeau du Christ vide. Demandant à Jésus, qu'elle prend pour le gardien du jardin, où il a mis le corps, celui-ci se fait reconnaître et dit, tout en adoptant un mouvement de recul : Noli me tangere (Ne me touche pas). Des outils de jardiniers figurent au premier plan tandis que la figure de Marie Madeleine, notamment pour la chevelure et les vêtements, évoque la mode de l'époque révolutionnaire.
