Historique :	Pour orner le haut du mur côté jardin et celui du mur côté cour furent réalisées deux oeuvres magnifiques et étranges signées Dimitri Varbanesco : 'Le Sacre du Printemps' et 'La Forêt en marche'. La seconde est une allusion à la légende où la nature se venge d'un monde qui la méprise, allusion musicale à une scène de Macbeth de Verdi. Face à ces grandes toiles, on a pu évoquer Ernst, Tanguy, Chirico et autre Dali mais le jeune artiste surnommé 'le paisible surréaliste des bords de l'Isère' a réussi là deux oeuvres d'une grande force expressive. Ce tableau fait partie d'un ensemble de toiles réalisées à la fin des années 1930 pour orner la salle de spectacle du sanatorium de Saint-Hilaire-de-Touvet. Cette peinture a été déposée au musée des Années Trente de Boulogne-Billancourt en 2010-2011.
