Historique :	Datation : après 1638. L'oeuvre est liée à la consécration de la France à la Vierge par Louis XIII, pour obtenir le rétablissement rapide de la paix et le soulagement matériel et spirituel des français. Lors de la publication de ce patronage, le 10 février 1638, il fut demandé l'exécution d'une oeuvre pour chacune des églises de France placées sous le vocable de la Vierge.
