Historique :	Provient du parc du château de Vizille. La statue date du 17e siècle et le piédestal date du 18e siècle. D'après le dossier de restauration, l'oeuvre ne devrait plus être attribuée aux frères Richier. Stylistiquement, l'origine de la statue la rattache probablement à l'Italie du nord et sa fabrication daterait des années 1570-1580. Cela confirme l'idée que les frères Richier aient pu modifier la sculpture en 1609 pour l'adapter à une fontaine du jardin du château de Vizille.
