regrouper l'ensemble des parents d'élèves des établissements scolaires cités à l'article 1 des statuts, formuler en leur nom des voeux sur tout objet concernant les intérêts moraux et matériels de ces établissements scolaires, des élèves qui les fréquentent ou de leurs parents, en suivre la réalisation et veiller à leur application ; rassembler, présenter ou éditer à l'intention des familles toutes documentation relative aux études et débouchés scolaires et professionnels ; propager et défendre l'idéal laïque ; promouvoir et faire créer un service national public d'éducation et de formation initiale, gratuit et de qualité pour chaque jeune ; susciter et poursuivre toutes actions capables de développer son rôle de mouvement d'éducation permanente pour les familles ; oeuvrer à la reconnaissance du rôle des parents d'élèves ; permettre l'organiser de toute manifestations ou prestation de service
